Online Payments

The City of Troy now accepts payments for property taxes, water and sewer bills, and recycling bills. Online payments can be made at www.municipal-payments.com Payment of parking fines will be available in the future. Payments may be made by a credit card, debit card, or an electronic check. To pay by electronic check, you will be asked to enter your bank routing and account numbers at checkout. These numbers can be found on the bottom left of all standard checks. Please be advised that the City of Troy does not accept partial payments.

When visiting the site, you can access your bill by entering your last name in the field provided. For account verification you may want to have your bill statement available.

Please be advised that at checkout your total payment will reflect any interest applicable due to a deliquent bill plus a processing fee for the use of credit and debit cards and or electronic check.

Billing Desk

All payments due to the City of Troy can be paid in person at the Billing Desk on the first floor of City Hall. If applicable, payments can be mailed to: City of Troy - Treasurer's Office, 1776 Sixth Avenue, Troy, NY 12180. Please make checks payable to: City of Troy. Please include account number on your check.

Tax Bills

City and county property tax bills are payable in two(2) installments. First installment is due in January. The second installment is due in July. Troy school taxes can be paid at the treasurers office when they are delinquent. Penalties accrue monthly after due date.

Water Billing

Water bills can be paid in person at the Treasurer’s Office on the first floor of City Hall. For questions regarding billing and shutoff call the billing office at (518) 279-7100 during the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm.
