City Officials Issue Traffic Advisory for Williams Street, Congress Street

TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for a road closure on Williams Street for construction activity. Beginning 7:00am, Tuesday, July 9th, Williams Street between Congress Street and Ferry Street will be closed to vehicle traffic. The road closure is expected to remain in effect through Wednesday, July 10th.

During this time, the intersection at Congress and Williams Street will be under construction. Traffic will be limited to one lane. Delays are expected and motorists are asked to seek alternate routes and observe all posted detours. Motorists should also use caution near the work zone to ensure the safety of workers & pedestrians.

Local traffic, including property and business owners will be allowed access to Williams Street from Ferry Street. However, vehicles will not be able to exit north onto Congress Street. Sidewalks in the vicinity of the road closure will remain open and accessible for pedestrians.
