City officials issue update on Campbell Avenue repair operations

TROY, NY – City officials announced today that excavation operations by the Department of Public Utilities crews continue at the site of the broken sewer line located beneath Campbell Avenue. A timeline for operations to repair the sewer line has not yet been determined and further assessments are underway to determine the scope of repairs.

Businesses in the vicinity of the affected section of Campbell Avenue are open and accessible. Eastbound traffic on Campbell Avenue will detour at Sherman Avenue, and westbound traffic will detour at Donegal Avenue. There is no thru-traffic on Campbell Avenue between Sherman and Donegal Avenues. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.

Local traffic for residents is permitted beyond the traffic detours at Donegal and Sherman Avenues. Troy Police Department traffic and patrol units will continue to operate on the detour route.
