Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Each year, the City holds two (2) Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Day programs. These disposal events are a free service available to Troy residents only and provide an opportunity for the safe disposal of hazardous materials that cannot be accepted through the city’s normal garbage collection service.

For more information on HHW disposal programs, please contact Renee Panetta, City Recycling Coordinator, at (518) 279-7171, or [email protected]

UPDATE: due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, held at the Alamo in South Troy, has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 1st, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Previously-issued coupons will be honored.

If you have not signed up for a coupon, please email Renee Panetta, the city’s Recycling Coordinator ([email protected]) with a copy of your driver’s license and a city tax bill or utility bill as proof of residency. A coupon will be mailed to you upon receipt (electronic or post) of the required documents.
