The Conservatory/Pfeil Hardware

Extensive renovations have been made to the interior and exterior of the former Stanley's Department Store. To accommodate it's new use as a residential building with first floor commercial space, a new underground parking facility has been constructed and heated sidewalks have been installed

Troy's premier banquet and catering facility has made significant upgrades that include energy efficient improvements and new awnings.


The Troy Food Coop
77-81 Congress Street

Renovation and revitalization of a vacant dowtown market. This coop will be a full service grocery store selling conventional, natural and organic groceries.


Troy Energy Park

Main StreetThe City of Troy and the Troy Local Development Corporation have been working with waste to energy companies to develop a model for a waste to energy facility on the former King Fuels Site.

To date partnerships with NYS DEC, National Grid, KmX Corporation and

L-3 Pulse Communications have led to the submission of grant applications to the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Energy.


County Waste

Main Street


County Waste is the largest privately owned solid waste management and recycling facility in the Capital Region.  The Troy Plant is located on approximately 13.5 acres that is owned by the Troy Local Development Corporation.  Since occupying the site in 2007, County Waste has invested nearly $2.5 million in infrastructure and facility improvements.


Dinosaur

377 River Street


Dinosaur Bar B Que opened in 2010 after a complete interior demolition and construction of the former Fresno's Restaurant.  The reconstruction included a redesign of the front and rear facades, and improvements to the docks and pedestrian access to the water.  The investment of nearly $3 million has provent to be a vibrant waterfront attraction.


Old World Provisions, Inc.
10 Industrial Park Road

Old World Provisions have acquired the former Fritz Helmbold, Inc.

The company is a manufacturer and processor of hot dogs and other meat products.  In addition, Old World is undertaking an expansion at the facilities including the construction of a 10,000 square foot refrigerated warehouse, renovations to the existing facility and acquisition of new equipment.


Minisalle Wine Cellar Cafe, LLC

The Minissale Family has operated a restaurant business in the City of Troy for over 32 years.  The recent addition to their existing building will allow them to bring the production and distribution portion of their wholesale business

in-house.


Best Western Plus Franklin Square Inn

1 Fourth Street

The owners of this facility have transformed the site and the building from a Super 8 Motel to one of the industry's most recognized brands.  The physical expansion to the exterior and the interior upgrades have aided in creating an attractive gateway into Downtown Troy. 


Brown's Brewing Company

417 River Street

Brown's has operated at its current location for 18 years and employs over 100 people.  In addition to the restaurant, and its craft brews of over 22 different styles of ales and lagers on premise, Brown's has resurrected its private booking operations.  With the completion of facade renovations and an interior expansion of the banquet hall, Brown's hopes to accommodate requests for a variety of special occasion dining needs.
