Mayor Madden Announces Appointment of Charles Wojton as Commissioner of General Services
TROY, NY – Today, Mayor Patrick Madden announced the appointment of Charles Z. Wojton as Commissioner of General Services for the City of Troy, New York.
Mayor Madden said “Charles possesses the knowledge and experience required to tackle the challenges of delivering signature city services to the residents of our community. I know he will serve our city well in his new position.”
Charles Wojton said “I extend my thanks to Mayor Madden for appointing me to this important role and look forward to working with him and his administration to best serve the residents, families and businesses of Troy.”
Charles Wojton is a 12-year veteran of public administration and operations as a member of the Rensselaer County Executive’s Office. Mr. Wojton served in a number of roles for Rensselaer County, including Director of Buildings; Director of Purchasing; and Director of Special Traffic Operations. Mr. Wojton is a member of the Urban Area Working Group (UAWG), the Rensselaer County Health Preparedness Committee, and the NYS Association of Municipal Purchasing Officers. Previously, he served as Chair of the Rensselaer County Traffic Safety Board. Mr. Wojton received a B.S. in Public Administration from Empire State College.
