It’s an ongoing tax’n’spend-a-thon in Albany, whose only real result is placing the tough choices on the backs of counties and municipalities, forcing us to choose between less revenues or higher taxes, all while rewarding their special interest group friends and not controlling or reducing spending.

As you are probably aware by now, the South Troy pool was delayed one day in opening; the Knickerbacker Park pool was delayed three days. Those days were in the middle of the first major heat wave of the summer season and I want to be clear that this was not a minor concern.
