On behalf of my staff, I would like to welcome you to
the Mayor's home page and to invite you to access some
of the City of Troy's on-line resources. This site has
been designed to provide you with access to information
regarding city programs and services. Our objective
for the site is to better serve the residents and visitors
of the City of Troy and to provide more open access
to the activities of city government.
Within this page, you will find access to public documents
like speeches and press
releases generated by my office over the past year.
Over time, this site will be used to distribute and
archive a wide variety of public information related
to the operations of your city government.
This site has a lot to offer, but it is a work-in-progress
and it will evolve over time. We urge you to contact
us and make suggestions for improving the site or to
inquire about city services or programs. Also, you can
contact the police department on-line through our community
watch program. Current news
and a community calendar
will provide you with up-to-date information regarding
public events going on in Troy. If you are sponsoring
a public event in Troy, let us know and we will see
if it can be added.

Mayor's Responsibility
The Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the
city. The Mayor's Office is responsible for overseeing
the administration of all city departments and business.
This includes enforcing all laws and ordinances, appointing
and removing the heads of all departments, keeping the
city council advised as to the financial condition and
needs of the city, preparing and submitting the annual
budget to the council, and recommending to the council
such measures deemed necessary or expedient. The Mayor's
Office also handles marriages, correspondence, Freedom
of Information (FOI) requests, public relations and
outreach to community groups and neighborhoods.
