The Congress Street neighborhood is located on the south side of the RPI campus between College Ave., Congress St., 15th and 13th Streets. It is a pleasant and safe neighborhood predominantly occupied by students from RPI. Their young age and ambitiousness bring a lot of vitality to the neighborhood. In addition to being located on the border of the RPI campus, we are also within walking distance to St. Francis De Sales Church, Beman Park and Prospect Park. The Congress Street business district contains many mixed-use buildings and provides us with services such as a deli, pizza parlors, an Italian family restaurant, a flooring retail store and a tuxedo store. Our nearby public education institutions include School 14, Doyle Middle School and Troy High School. We are also less than 1 mile from Samaritan Hospital.
