Vanderheyden is a relatively new suburban-style neighborhood located in the southern area of Troy. It is bounded by the Wynants Kill Creek on the west, Vanderheyden Estates townhomes on the east, and Campbell Road to the north. Building styles include Contemporary Colonial, Ranch, and Raised Ranch. Neighborhood residents are very friendly and are primarily young families with children. Properties are nicely landscaped with many old-growth trees having been retained by the builder, Galaraneau Builders, allowing residents to be close to nature. Since we are connected by the Wynants Kill Creek to the Burden Pond preservation area we get a lot of wildlife passing through our neighborhood, including deer and turkeys. Nearby groceries or other easily accessed services include Cumberland Farms, Price Chopper, Hannaford, CVS, Stewarts, and miscellaneous restaurants.
