TROY, NY – On Friday, March 30, Mayor Patrick Madden joined Police Chief Brian Owens, local elected officials, regional law enforcement representatives, family, friends and members of the Troy Police Department during the final walkout ceremony for Assistant Chief George VanBramer at Central Station. First hired on March 6th, 1978, A/C VanBramer retires from the department with over 40 years of service with the City. Mayor Madden declared Friday, March 30, 2018 as “Assistant Chief George G. VanBramer Day” in the City of Troy, New York in recognition of his exceptional service, career and commitment to public safety in the Collar City.
