Powers Park Concert Series Set to Electrify Troy for 2017 Summer Concert Season

14th annual summer music & entertainment event kicks off with Bluz House Rockers on Saturday, July 8

TROY, NY – Today, Mayor Patrick Madden announced the start of the 2017 Powers Park Concert Series for this Saturday, July 8. The 14th season of music and entertainment held in Troy’s historic Lansingburgh neighborhood features a wide variety of performers across eight weeks in July and August. All shows are free to the public.

Mayor Patrick Madden said “The Powers Park Concert Series remains a summer entertainment staple for the City of Troy, and this season’s slate of performers provides quality, family-friendly entertainment for our residents and visitors from across the Capital Region. Thank you to the business owners and concert organizers for their support to preserve this important community event for the enjoyment of our community and neighborhoods.”

Powers Park is located at 110th Street and Second Avenue in Troy. All shows will be held on Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be weekly 50/50 raffles with special prizes for participants and attendees. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at the event. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Powers Park.

July 15 – Soul Sky with Joe Lowry, Sunny Speed and Jeremy Walz
July 22 – Kyle Bourgalt Band
July 29 – Jocamo
August 5 – Cryin’ Out Loud
August 12 – Al Bruno
August 19 – School of Rock Troy Music Academy, Rocks Music Studio
August 26 – Emerald City
