Final Plan Document
Objectives
- To provide a plan for making Lansingburgh a livable
community in which the “urban village”
is safe and humane.
- To provide a basis for decisions and plans to be
incorporated into a city-wide comprehensive plan at
a later date.
Description
The
project inventoried and analyzed the existing Lansingburgh
village centered on the 112th Street Corridor (see Study
Area Map). The study sought to provide solutions to
challenges in transportation systems; open space and
recreation; history, heritage and interpretation; and
business improvement and economic development. Local
residents had several opportunities to participate in
the development of the final plan including a series
of public workshops and progress review meetings.
Financing
The project was funded by the Capital District Transportation
Committee (CDTC) and the City of Troy under CDTC's Community
and Transportation Linkage Planning Program.
- The CDTC funded fifty percent (50%)
of the project
- The City Of Troy will funded fifty percent (50%)
