Public Works to Conduct Pre-Winter Street Cleaning Program

TROY, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden today announced Department of Public Works crews will be conducting a week-long street cleaning program targeting neighborhoods across Troy during the week of December 14th. The program will clear dirt, leaves, and debris from City roadways prior to the arrival of winter.

Mayor Madden said, “Next week’s street cleaning program aims to reach additional roads across Troy before the first snowfall this winter. Cooperation from residents, families and businesses will help ensure this work can be conducted quickly and effectively, including moving their vehicles from the street during their scheduled cleanup day.”

Residents are asked to observe all posted parking restrictions on affected streets. Motorists should reduce speeds and leave space for street cleaning vehicles to operate.

The street cleaning schedule is as follows:

Monday, December 14th

  • 9th St. (Hoosick to Peoples)
  • 10th St. (Hoosick to Peoples)
  • 11th St. (Hoosick to Peoples)
  • 12th St. (Hoosick to Peoples)
  • 13th St. (Hoosick to Peoples)

Tuesday, December 15th

  • 109th St. (5th to 8th Avenue)
  • 110th St. (5th to 8th Avenue)
  • 3rd Avenue (105th to 116th St.)

Wednesday, December 16th

  • Westover St.
  • Sheldon Ave.
  • Central Ave.
  • Parkview Ct.
  • Fonda Ave.

Thursday, December 17th

  • Woodrow Ct.
  • Marshland Ct.
  • Highland Ave.
  • Eaton Rd.
  • Spring Ave.

Friday, December 18th
