Statement by Mayor Madden on Regional Economic Development Grant Funding Awarded to City of Troy

TROY NYMayor Patrick Madden has issued a statement on the Regional Economic Development Council’s recent announcement of grant awards totaling over $8.8 million for the Collar City:

“With the assistance of nearly $9 million in valuable economic development funding, a variety of organizations and projects in Troy are able to continue our forward momentum in the pursuit of building a stronger, more vibrant community for the benefit of our residents, families and small businesses. The partnerships between city, state, county and business leaders have been, and will continue to be, of critical importance to Troy’s ongoing economic rebirth. We applaud Governor Cuomo and the members of the Capital Region Economic Development Council for their ongoing commitment to neighborhood and downtown revitalization. We offer our congratulations to today’s award winners and our gratitude to those who made the effort to apply for this critical funding, encouraging those who were not funded to apply again next year.”
