Statement from Mayor Madden on Regional Economic Development Councils 2019 Awards

TROY, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden has issued the following statement on the 2019 Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC) 2019 Awards:

“This year’s Regional Economic Development Council awards demonstrate New York State’s commitment to helping write the next chapter in Troy’s incredible story of growth in the Capital Region. Troy remains a great place to live, work, play, and raise a family, and New York State continues to support projects and organizations that are working to expand our community’s economic rebirth. With over $2M in funding awarded for historic preservation, workforce development, arts, and cultural programs and initiatives in the Collar City, we are excited to work with our local, state, county and business partners to advance these valuable projects in our community.

“We appreciate the continued support of Governor Cuomo and the Capital Region Economic Development Council for these important projects that advance the objectives of neighborhood and downtown revitalization for the benefit of Troy families, businesses, and institutions.”
