TROY, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden has issued the following statement in response to the Office of State Comptroller’s (OSC) review of the City of Troy’s Proposed 2019 Budget:

“The Office of State Comptroller’s evaluation of our 2019 proposed budget confirms the work of my administration to implement strong financial oversight and fact-based budgeting practices to build a stronger future for our neighborhoods, families, and businesses. The 2019 budget proposal – our third consecutive year of balanced budgets – implements several initiatives to manage costs, enhance capacity in key departments, and preserve essential services for our residents. OSC’s recommendations provide important guidance for implementing this year’s balanced budget proposal and outline the importance of approving the legislation as proposed. I encourage the City Council to support and approve this financially sound proposal to ensure the continued growth and prosperity of our community.”
