Traffic Advisory: 1st Street, 2nd Street, Main Street (South Troy Industrial Road Project)

TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for 1st and 2nd Streets in South Troy for scheduled milling and paving work associated with the South Troy Industrial Park Road project.

East Industrial Parkway will be closed between Main Street and Monroe Street beginning 7:00 a.m., Monday, October 19th. Work will continue through Tuesday, October 20th.

Southbound truck traffic on East Industrial Parkway will be temporarily detoured north to Monroe to 1st Street. Northbound truck traffic on Burden Avenue / Route 4 will be temporarily detoured to 2nd Street to Monroe Street. Parking restrictions will be in effect on 1st and 2nd Streets while traffic detours are in effect.

Additional traffic advisories have also been issued for Main Street:

  • Main Street will be closed between East Industrial Parkway and South River Street on Monday, October 26th, from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 27th.
  • Main Street will be closed between South River Street and 4th Street / Route 4 on Tuesday October 27th, from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 28th.

Residents should observe all parking restrictions and road closures, and reduce speeds near the work zone. All work is weather dependent, and subject to change. Local emergency services have been notified of traffic restrictions. The City thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while paving work is underway.
