Traffic Advisory: Ferry Street Tunnel Closed for Maintenance

UPDATE (May 9, 2019) – The Ferry Street tunnel has been reopened to regular vehicle traffic. The City of Troy thanks the residents, motorists and businesses for their patience during the tunnel closure.

TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for the closure of the Ferry Street / NY-2 tunnel effectively immediately for required maintenance. All vehicle traffic will be directed to River Street while maintenance operations are underway.

Regular vehicle traffic will be detoured onto the River Street/Front Street off-ramp, to River Street, to Adams Street, to Fourth Street. Heavy truck traffic should seek alternate routes at this time.

Motorists should reduce speeds, and observe all posted traffic detours and signage. Local emergency services have been notified of the traffic restrictions.
