Troy City Hall Closed in Observation of Christmas Holiday
TROY, NY – City officials have announced that Troy City Hall will be closed on Monday, December 25, in observation of the Christmas holiday and will reopen on Tuesday, December 26 at 8:30 a.m.
The City has also announced there will be no garbage or recycling pickup on Monday, December 25. Residents who normally receive Monday garbage and recycling pickup should bring their garbage and recycling to the curb on Monday evening for collection on Tuesday, December 26. Normal garbage and recycling collection will resume on Tuesday, December 26. Garbage or recycling not collected on Tuesday will be collected during the remainder of the week. Bulk trash pickup will not be available on December 25 and 26.

Residents are reminded to keep sidewalks adjacent to their property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection to assist those with mobility issues, including the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, in the instance of snow, property owners are required to clear sidewalks adjacent to their property by 10:00 a.m. the day following the end of a snow storm. Clearing your sidewalk will keep our community accessible for residents of all ages & abilities and assist first responders (Troy Police and Fire Departments) during possible medical emergencies in your neighborhood.
