Troy Officials: City Hall Closed in Observation of Labor Day

TROY, NY – City officials have announced that Troy City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 4, in observation of Labor Day and will reopen on Tuesday, September 5, at 8:30 a.m.

City garbage and recycling collection will occur as scheduled on Monday, September 4. City bulk trash pickup will not be available. Troy residents are asked to keep sidewalks adjacent to their property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection to assist those with mobility issues, including the disabled and elderly.

Additionally, residents should place bagged leaves out for collection during their regular city garbage collection day. Do not pile leaves at the curb or rake leaves into the street; this can clog sewer catch basins and drains which could cause flooding in your neighborhood during heavy rain events.
