Troy Officials Issue Traffic Advisory for Hoosick Street
TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for Hoosick Street (Route 7) in the City of Troy, New York for road repair operations conducted by the Department of Public Utilities. Beginning 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, westbound (downhill) traffic on Hoosick Street will be limited to one lane between Burdett Avenue and Lavin Court. Repair operations are expected to begin 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, and are anticipated to be completed by 12:00 p.m., Tuesday. The lane closure will remain in effect until repair operations have been completed.
Motorists are asked to use caution while traveling through the work zone to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists are asked to observe all posted traffic detours and seek alternate routes. Local emergency services have been notified of the traffic restrictions and lane closure. The City of Troy thanks everyone for their patience at this time while Department of Public Utilities crews operate on Hoosick Street.
