Troy Officials Issue Traffic Advisory for Hoosick Street

Repair work has been completed and water service has been restored. All lanes on Hoosick Street have been reopened to normal vehicle traffic. We thank all our residents and business owners for their patience.
TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for Hoosick Street in the City of Troy, New York for Sunday, January 7, for public utility repair operations. All eastbound lanes of Hoosick Street — between 10th Street (Oakwood Avenue) and 15th Street — are currently closed due to a water main break (12-inch line). Department of Public Utilities staff have been dispatched and repair operations are currently underway. Lane closures will remain in effect until repair operations have been completed.
A total of five properties are affected by the break. All have been notified directly by the Department of Public Utilities. Local emergency services have been notified of traffic restrictions.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes at this time while repair operations continue. The City of Troy thanks everyone for their patience at this time while Department of Public Utilities staff work to repair the impacted water transmission line in challenging weather conditions.
