Troy Police Issue Update on Stabbing, Officer-Involved Shooting

The Troy Police Department released the following information, including the identity of the involved officer, regarding the domestic stabbing & off-duty-officer-involved shooting that occurred on Thursday, July 30th:

“Regarding last night’s critical incident, the Troy Police Department has released the following information, including the identification of the involved officer, as proper notifications have been made to next of kin.

“The involved officer is Officer Adam Harbour. Officer Harbour has been with the Troy Police Department for over three years. His current bid assignment is within the uniform patrol division. Officer Harbour will be assigned to administrative duties until otherwise directed by the Chief of Police.

“The deceased suspect is Colin E. Davis (Age: 25, Troy). The victim of the original stabbing incident is the estranged wife of Mr. Davis, her identity will be not be released at this time. The victim is currently being treated at a local hospital and her condition has been upgraded from Serious to Fair (Stable).

“Multiple witnesses have come forward to provide their observations. We would like to encourage any other potential witnesses to please contact the Troy Police Detective Division at (518) 270-4426 or the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office at (518) 270-4040.

“As a final note, Officer Harbour has demonstrated himself as a model officer throughout his career with no disciplinary issues. Our thoughts remain with him, the victim and all those others who have been effected by the incidents of last night. We will utilize our partnerships with local victim’s resources organizations to ensure all those effected receive the support they need.”
