2007
Powers Park Concert Series
Powers Park was once the venue of weekend activities
around the turn of the 20th Century, with a grand gazebo
in place, acting as a stage for various entertainers
to perform with local businesses providing refreshments
and food for those attending. Citizens of the village
of Lansingburgh would flock to the park to both socialize
and enjoy the evening entertainment. It is the hope
of organizers now that this series will continue for
years to come.
The series was a tremendous hit with local residents
in 2005, who flocked to the park on Saturday evenings
to enjoy the diversified musical lineup put together
by the city.
Partnering with the City of Troy for this years events
are, Hannaford - Whitney Young Health Troy - Troy Uniformed
Firefighters Association - MJ's on the Avenue - Pips
Athletic Lounge - Pfiel & Co. - Miessner Travel.
