3rd Annual Chowderfest, River Street, Downtown
River Street comes alive with more than 30 local restaurants participating in the 3rd Annual ChowderFest.  Chowders range from Seafood to Vegtable and Manhattan to New England.    Ice sculptures, live music and refreshing libations, help us kick off a week of Quadricentennial celebrations.

Join us in historic Lansingburgh, the oldest section of Troy for a night of live music, vendors, arts and crafts, children's scavenger hunt, and one of the most time-honored Dutch pastimes- ice skating. It will truly be a night of fun for the entire family.

Near the former industrial hub of Troy, the Bush Memorial Hall on the Russell Sage College Campus will play host to a Picnic in the Park featuring Ruth Pelham's Music Mobile and a host of activities for children.  The day will feature walking tours of Historic Downtown and Early Dutch Sites.

[1809] Burden Iron Works Museum, South Troy

One of Troy's most historic buildings, the Burden Iron Works Museum was recently named one of the Seven to Save by the Preservation League of New York State.  An afternoon lecture series, museum tours, and the unveiling of the Hanks Family Bicentennial exhibition will offer a unique glimpse of Troy as it existed 200 years ago.

At the turn of the 20th century, Troy's Little Italy was home to a dozen ethnic and immigrant groups.  The 1909 "Celebration in the Marketplace" will feature events highlighting the many cultures and traditions that have called the neighborhood home in the last 100 years.

[2009] Troy Night Out - Downtown Troy Quadricentennial Troy Night Out celebrating art and light in the 21st century.  Downtown Troy will be alive with interactive light, sound, music and art displays, both inside and out, in parks, on street corners, and in vacant store fronts.  There will be something to discover and surprise you on every block.  Fireworks at 9PM over the river.  Dance the night away at the unofficial TNO afterparty 9PM - 2AM at the Art Center of the Capital Region.
