Campbell Avenue Bridge

With assistance from New York State, the City of Troy will modernize the Campbell Avenue Bridge to preserve an important traffic route between our Eastside and South Troy neighborhoods, Hudson Valley Community College, and North Greenbush.

In 2022, the City commenced reconstruction of the Campbell Avenue Bridge over the Wynants Kill, located on Campbell Avenue between Colleen Road and Project Road. The project will replace this aging piece of transportation infrastructure to preserve a safe route between communities across Rensselaer County, Troy's Eastside and South Troy neighborhoods, Hudson Valley Community College, and destinations in Albany County.

Replacement of the Campbell Avenue Bridge is 95% funded through the state's BRIDGE-NY Program, and is administered by New York State Department of Transportation.

The project included replacement of aging water and sewer infrastructure lines which travel beneath the bridge surface.
