City of Troy Mayor Wm. Patrick Madden: “New Yorkers have a constitutional right to a clean environment and the City of Troy is proud to support this right by helping residents safely dispose of hazardous materials for free. I am grateful for the support of local partners, our city workforce and neighboring municipalities who have all played a role in making these important events available to our communities, and look forward to another successful household hazardous waste disposal program.”

County Executive Steve McLaughlin: "Rensselaer County is focused on expanding service and convenience for our residents, and these HHW events are part of that mission. We are excited local and county governments are once again coming together to help residents safely and conveniently dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste. These events have proven to be very successful in the past, and we expect the ones scheduled for 2023 to also be a success.”

Chair of the Rensselaer County Legislature Kelly Hoffman: “The disposal of hazardous waste has been an issue for many residents and communities throughout Rensselaer County, so we partnered together to make it accessible and affordable. Last year, this program had a tremendous turnout, and the partnership helped reduce costs for the municipalities that participated.”

North Greenbush Supervisor Joe Bott: “Residents of North Greenbush are environmentally conscious and want to preserve our beautiful surroundings. We are thrilled to be able to once again provide our residents with a safe and proper way to dispose of their household hazardous wastes. This event was very popular last year, and spaces filled up quick, so I encourage residents to register early.”

Rensselaer Mayor Michael Stammel: “We are working hard for a cleaner and greener Rensselaer. Providing our residents with a safe way to properly get rid of paint cans, household chemicals, and other hazardous wastes will keep them out of our trash and out of our landfill. Please register early. Space is limited.”

Town of Grafton Supervisor Ingrid Gundrum: "As a Town Supervisor I was pleased to work with Rensselaer County in bringing these events to our communities last year. I am grateful to have another opportunity for Grafton to participate - it's vital that we unite as communities to give our residents resources for proper disposal that keep our beautiful Rensselaer County neighborhoods, woods, streams and farmlands clear of hazardous household waste."

Town of Schodack Supervisor Chuck Peter: “Schodack is proud to participate in this important program and we look forward to once again offering our residents the opportunity to help keep our environment clean and provide for a safe way to dispose of these hazardous materials”
