TROY, NY – City officials have announced Troy City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in observation of Election Day and will reopen on Wednesday, November 7, at 8:30 a.m. City Hall will also be closed on Monday, November 12, in observation of Veterans Day and will reopen Tuesday, November 13, at 8:30 a.m.

Regular garbage and recycling collection will occur as scheduled for November 7, and November 12. No bulk pickup will be available on either date.

Mayor Madden is reminding Troy residents to keep sidewalks adjacent to their property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection. Please help keep our community accessible to people of all ages and abilities.

Additionally, residents should place bagged leaves out for collection during their regular city garbage collection day. Do not pile leaves at the curb or rake into the street. This can clog sewer catch basins and drains which could cause flooding during heavy rain events.
