Garbage, recycling collection to occur as scheduled for Monday, January 17th

TROY, NY – City officials have announced that City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 17th, in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Weekly garbage and recycling collection will occur as scheduled for Monday; bagged leaf and brush collection is suspended for the holiday. Bulk collection remains suspended for the winter season.

Mayor Madden reminds residents and property owners to keep sidewalks and curb ramps adjacent to their home or property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection. Public cooperation will help keep our community accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
