City Hall Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

Modified municipal garbage & recycling collection schedule issued for Thursday, November 28th

TROY, NY – City officials have announced City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, and Friday, November 29th, in observance of Thanksgiving and will reopen Monday, December 2nd, at 8:30 a.m.

Municipal garbage and recycling collection scheduled for collection on Thursday, Nov. 28th is postponed until Friday, Nov. 29th. Residents who receive municipal collection on Thursday should place their garbage and recycling curbside Thursday evening for Friday collection.

Bulk collection will not be available on either day. The normal garbage and recycling collection schedule will resume Friday, November 29th.

Mayor Madden reminds residents and property owners to keep sidewalks adjacent to their property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection. Your cooperation and assistance will help keep our community accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
