City Officials Announce Meeting Schedule for Troy Policing Reform and Reinvention Collaborative
TROY, NY – City officials announced the schedule of upcoming meetings of the Troy Police Reform & Reinvention Collaborative (PRRC). The collaborative is holding a series of listening sessions during the month of February to gather suggestions & recommendations from the public. Public feedback will be used to develop a plan to improve community engagement and foster trust for all members of the Troy community.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all listening sessions will be held remotely via Zoom and will be live-streamed on the City’s official YouTube page (www.youtube.com/troyny).
- Monday, February 8th: Affinity Group presentations
- Wednesday, February 10th: Public Forum
- Monday, February 15th: Affinity Group presentations
- Wednesday, February 17th: Public Forum
- Monday, February 22nd: Public Forum
- Wednesday, February 24th: PRRC Committee
Meetings will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. All meetings will be open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is required to attend via Zoom. Registration links will be posted online no later than 24 hours prior to upcoming meetings. The schedule is subject to change; please check the PRRC webpage for updates.
Community members have several options to submit comment or recommendations to the PRRC, including public forums and in writing. Troy residents who wish to comment during upcoming public forums must sign-up by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the public forum. Please note: Affinity group presentation meetings do not include a public comment period.
