City Officials: Garbage, Recycling Collection to Occur as Scheduled on Memorial Day

TROY, NY (May 28, 2021) – Public Works officials have announced that municipal garbage and recycling collection will proceed as scheduled on Monday, May 31st (Memorial Day). Residents who normally receive Monday pickup should place out garbage and recycling bins on Sunday night. Leaf bag collection will be postponed for Monday.

City Hall will be closed Monday, May 31st, in observation of the Memorial Day holiday, and will reopen Tuesday, June 1st, at 8:30 am.

Mayor Madden reminds residents and property owners to keep sidewalks and curb ramps adjacent to their property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection. Cooperation from the public will help keep our community accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
