City Officials Issue RFP for Administration of Troy Turkey Trot

TROY, NY – City officials today announced the City is seeking qualified vendors for the administration and operation of the 2018 Troy Turkey Trot, one of the oldest and most prestigious road races in the country.
The Troy Turkey Trot is a premier road race featuring 5K and 10K distances, among other events. Since its humble beginnings over one hundred years ago, the Troy Turkey Trot has grown into one of the largest and oldest turkey trots in the United States. The Thanksgiving morning race draws an average of 8,000 participants annually to historic downtown Troy for its 5K, 10K, and Grade School Mile events.
The selected vendor will be responsible for administering all services associated with the annual Thanksgiving race, including but not limited to: event budgeting, marketing & advertising, pre- and post-race logistics, race day management, community and municipal relations, program development, and volunteer recruitment.
