City Officials Issue Traffic Advisory for Hoosick Street

Utility work has been completed. All lanes of Hoosick Street have been reopened to normal vehicle traffic.
TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for Hoosick Street (Route 7) in the City of Troy, New York for Thursday, April 26 for public utility repair operations. All eastbound and westbound lanes of Hoosick Street between 15th Street and Burdett Avenue are now closed due to a water main break (12-inch). Department of Public Utilities crews have been dispatched and excavation operations are underway. Repair operations are expected to continue through Friday morning, April 27. The road closures will remain in effect until repair operations have been completed.
Motorists are asked to use caution while traveling through work zones to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists are asked to observe all posted traffic detours and seek alternate routes at this time. Local emergency services have been notified of the traffic restrictions and lane closures. The City of Troy thanks everyone for their patience at this time while Department of Public Utilities crews work to repair the affected water transmission line.
