City Officials to Host Virtual Discussions on Recycling, Solid Waste Initiatives in Troy
TROY, NY – Officials with the City’s Department of General Services and Bureau of Sanitation will host a series of virtual conversations to update Troy residents on City-led initiatives aimed at increasing recycling and reduce the cost of solid waste management. All events are free, and all Troy residents are encouraged to attend.
General Services and Sanitation staff will outline new initiatives planned for 2021 and answer questions from the public. Attendees will learn about deployment of new technologies, recycling programs, material drop-off programs, and planned implementation of a Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) solid waste management plan for 2022.
All meetings will be conducted via Zoom. Registration is required, and is open now at the following links:
- Monday, April 5th at 6 pm – Register
- Monday, April 12th at 6 pm – Register
- Monday, April 19th at 12 noon – Register
- Monday, April 26th at 12 noon – Register
- Monday, May 3rd at 12 noon – Register
- Monday, May 10th at 6 pm – Register
