
Summit Details
The summit will be held at the Bush Memorial Center at Russell Sage College, 50 1st St, Troy, NY 12180.
Through small group discussions, attendees will have an opportunity to prioritize which topics are most significant in development of state-wide legislation.
Topics include:
- Definition of deconstruction for purposes of ordinance
- Asbestos abatement and containment
- Presence of lead (testing and results)
- Termination of services to location
- Structural and materials inventory evaluations (qualified personnel)
- Anticipated building stock affected by deconstruction
- Recoverability matrices: time and availability
- Time intensity of recovery
- Municipal ownership, non-profit ownership, land trusts
- Responsibility for deconstruction (leave no trace, above/below grade)
- A la carte list of (potential) recommendations for integration with local codes and permitting requirements
- Re-build requirements
- Re-development incentives
