UPDATE: Starting March 22, 2021 the Community Loan Fund will be accepting applications for the CDBG COVID 19 funds and the deadline to submit a completed application will be April 22, 2021.
The Department of Housing and Community Development administers the U.S. Department of HUD’s entitlement program for the City of Troy, which include the following:
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program’s purpose is the development of viable urban communities for low-and moderate income persons through the provision of the following:
- Decent housing
- A suitable living environment, and
- Economic opportunity
The Emergency Solutions Grant program (ESG) is from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide assistance to homeless service providers for homeless shelters and homeless prevention.
The Home Investment Partnerships Program also known as the HOME program is from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to create housing units for low and moderate income people.
