Effective immediately, metered parking in downtown Troy is suspended until further notice to assist downtown businesses and residents impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. All normal parking regulations will remain in effect.

Central Business District Parking Hours
On-street parking is limited to 4 hours between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, within the Central Business District.

Parking Meter Pay Stations
Parking meter pay stations are located in designated areas of downtown Troy. The cost of parking on a street with a parking meter pay station is $1.00 per hour. Pay up to 4 hours. Customers must place their paid receipt on the dash board of their vehicles. If you have any questions regarding parking meters contact the City Treasurer’s Office at (518) 279-7115.
The City is undertaking a phased implementation plan for public parking improvements in Troy’s Central Business District, including upgraded parking meters, dedicated visitor parking, and online payment options for metered street parking.
Long term (daily or monthly) parking is available to permit holders in municipal lots and garages. The parking rate is $8 per day or $60 per month. Permits must be purchased in advance at City Hall.
Accessible Parking Permit
Accessible parking permits are issued by the City Treasurer’s office between the hours of 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Mirror hang tags will be issued to City of Troy residents with disabilities in accordance with NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law and NYS Department of Motor Vehicle regulations.
