TROY, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden today announced the City will be re-striping roadways throughout Troy starting Monday night. All two-lane city roadways categorized for double yellow lines will be re-painted beginning 9:00pm, Monday, August 19th.
Mayor Madden said, “Clear and accurate roadway markings are an important part of managing vehicle traffic and maintaining safe streets. Crews will be working overnight to complete this program, part of our continued efforts to improve roadway conditions in neighborhoods across the Collar City.”
The City’s Department of Engineering estimates this process will be complete by Tuesday morning, August 20th. Streets scheduled for paving or resurfacing this fall will not be re-striped at this time. All work will be weather-dependent, and may be rescheduled due to inclement conditions. Motorists are asked to reduce speeds and watch for crews and road marking equipment operating in city roadways.
