Mayor Madden Donates Blood, Encourages Public to Schedule Donation with Red Cross to Address Blood Shortage from Coronavirus
TROY, NY – On Monday, March 23, Troy Mayor Patrick Madden visited the Hope Lutheran Church to make a blood donation with the American Red Cross. The visit was part of the mayor’s advocacy to encourage donations from healthy residents to address a severe blood shortage caused by the Coronavirus outbreak.
The American Red Cross is urging those able to donate to schedule an appointment to help patients in need of lifesaving blood. Each donation can help save three lives.
