Statement by Mayor Madden on State Comptroller’s Review of 2018 Proposed City Budget
TROY, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden has issued the following statement in response to the Office of State Comptroller’s (OSC) review of Troy’s 2018 Budget Proposal:
“The findings contained within the Office of State Comptroller’s evaluation of Troy’s proposed budget validate my administration’s efforts to construct a financially responsible, fact-based plan for 2018 that accurately calculates rates based on real departmental costs. This community-focused budget plan – which supports neighborhood growth, enhances capacity in key departments, and confronts growing costs in signature municipal services – is a blueprint for moving our city forward in the right direction. I urge the City Council to support this common sense proposal and look forward to reviewing their response.”
