TROY, NY – On Tuesday, April 10, Mayor Patrick Madden and City Economic Development Coordinator Cheryl Kennedy visited Carol’s Place & The Eatery, a three-generation family-owned and operated small business located on Pawling Avenue in Troy’s Eastside neighborhood. First established in 1983, Carol’s Place remains a cornerstone of the Eastside neighborhood, providing breakfast, lunch and catering services to the Troy, Wynantskill and Poestenkill communities for over 35 years.
Mayor Madden met with owners Carol Stroman and Anita for a conversation on the history and expansion of Carol’s Place & their strong connection to the Troy community. The visit concluded with a tour of the two story 7,700 sf location – including their pizzeria, café, dining space, and commercial kitchen.
The visit was part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to support small businesses and entrepreneurs, highlight their importance to neighborhoods across the community, and connect them with assistance and services available through the City’s Office of Economic Development.
