TROY, NY – On Wednesday, May 3, Mayor Patrick Madden visited local small business and national supply hub Bearing Distributors. The Troy-based company stocks and supplies over 20,000 inventory items used in numerous household and industrial applications, including various bearings, power transmissions (motor drives and chain drives) and other industrial items. Mayor Madden was joined by Steven Strichman, Troy Commissioner of Planning and Community Development, and Cheryl Kennedy, Troy Economic Development Coordinator, during the visit to Bearing Distributor’s headquarters and 3,000 sf warehouse and distribution center located on Spring Avenue with owner and vice president Daniel Lewis. First established in 1946 by grandfather N.H. Lewis, Bearing Distributors has been managed by the Lewis family for over 70 years. The company maintains a national profile and client base, serving Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, original equipment manufacturers, and the agricultural industry.
