Pop Up City Hall Property Tax Payment Event at Knickerbacker Ice Arena Rescheduled
TROY, NY – City officials have announced that due to staffing limitations from the COVID-19 pandemic the Pop Up City Hall property tax payment event at the Knickerbacker Ice Arena, previously announced for February 1st, has been rescheduled to Friday, February 12th. No appointment is necessary to make a payment during this event.
Mayor Madden previously announced a 21 day extension of the deadline for payment of first installment of 2021 property taxes. The final date for payment of taxes without interest or penalty is February 21st.
Payments can be made in-person at the Knickerbacker Ice Arena between 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. Masks will be required to be worn at all times. Cleaning protocols will be in place between appointments. The only business that can be conducted is payment of property taxes and water bills with the Treasurer’s Office. The Knickerbacker Ice Rink is located at 191 103rd Street.
Residents can also make in-person payment of property taxes at City Hall in February. The City Treasurer’s Office will accept payments by appointment only on February 5th, 19th, and 22nd.
Appointments can be scheduled for the above designated dates between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Each appointment will be approximately 30 minutes, and will be limited to one adult per transaction. Accommodations will be available for those who need assistance of additional person. Property owners can schedule an appointment by sending an email to [email protected].
Property owners planning to pay by check are strongly encouraged to complete their transaction via mail or online at www.troyny.gov/pay.
