Powers Park Concert Series Kicks Off 15th Season on Saturday, July 7

TROY, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden announced the 2018 Powers Park Concert Series will kick off its 15th season in Troy’s Lansingburgh neighborhood on Saturday, July 7. The free public event offers eight weeks of music, food and fun in July and August, sponsored by the people and businesses of Troy, New York.

Mayor Madden said “Year after year, the Powers Park Concert Series proves why it’s one of the best summer events in the Capital District. This season’s lineup of incredible performers will provide families, residents, and visitors of all ages with quality, family-friendly entertainment all summer long. We thank the local business owners, concert organizers and volunteers whose hard work and support makes this signature event possible each year.”

Powers Park is located at 110th Street and Second Avenue in Troy. All shows will be held on Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be weekly 50/50 raffles with special prizes for participants and attendees. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at the event. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Powers Park.

July 7 – Soul Sky
July 14 – Back 40 Band
July 21 – Rick Surrano and 1-4-5
July 28 – The Refrigerators
August 4 – Matt Mirabile Band
August 11 – Big Sky Country
August 18 – River Junction
August 25 – Emerald City
