Public Utilities: Water Line Repairs Underway on 4th Street in Downtown Troy
Water service has been shut-off on 4th Street between Broadway and Congress Street
Affected customers have been notified directly of water disruption
TROY, NY – Officials with the City’s Department of Public Utilities announced crews are conducting repairs to a 20” water line beneath 4th Street in downtown Troy. Repairs are expected to continue into Tuesday morning.
Properties located on 4th Street between Broadway and Congress Street will experience loss of water service. Properties located adjacent to the affected area may experience fluctuations in water pressure and/or discolored water. After water service is restored, customers who experience discolored water should run their cold water faucet for five to 10 minutes until water runs clear.
There is no traffic advisory issued at this time. Motorists are asked to observe parking restrictions on 4th Street in the vicinity of the work zone. Public Utilities thank the public in advance for their cooperation and patience while work is underway.
