Traffic Advisory: Hoosick Street

TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for lower Hoosick Street for scheduled water line maintenance. Hoosick Street between 6th Avenue and 8th Street will be closed beginning Wednesday, February 10th at 8:00 a.m. The road closure will remain in effect until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11th.
Traffic Detours
Normal east and westbound traffic on Hoosick Street to and from the Collar City Bridge will not be impacted by the road closures.
Eastbound traffic on lower Hoosick Street will be detoured to 6th Avenue to Middleburgh to Oakwood Avenue. Westbound traffic to 6th Avenue from Hoosick Street will be detoured to 8th Street southbound to Jacob Street to 6th Avenue.
Northbound traffic on 8th Street will be unable to access the Collar City Bridge (NY 7) during the road closure. Vehicles should detour southbound on 8th Street to Jacob Street to 6th Avenue to the NY 7 onramp.
Motorists are asked to reduce speeds to protect the safety of workers, and observe all posted detours. Local emergency services have been notified of traffic restrictions.
