TROY, NY (July 12, 2022) – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for road closures and parking restrictions on Fulton Street associated with the deconstruction and removal of the Uncle Sam Parking Garage, a privately owned parking structure in downtown Troy. Fulton Street between 3rd Street and 4th Street will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13th. The closure is expected to continue for approximately 3-4 months.
The sidewalk on the north side of the affected section of Fulton Street will be closed to pedestrian traffic during this period. The sidewalk on the south side of Fulton Street between 3rd and 4th Streets will remain open to pedestrian traffic during the road closure with intermittent closures possible during early phases of the project.
Motorists are asked to reduce speeds and observe all posted detours. Residents should observe all posted parking restrictions. Local emergency services have been notified of traffic restrictions. Businesses and homes in the vicinity of the closure will remain open and accessible.
