Traffic Advisory: Road Closures, Parking Restrictions in Downtown Troy for Film Production [UPDATE]

TROY, NY (June 1, 2021) – City officials have issued an updated traffic advisory for parking restrictions and road closures in downtown Troy associated with a film production for the week of June 1st – 4th, 2021. A map of impacted streets is available below.

Road closures and parking restrictions will remain in effect through Friday, June 4th, for the following streets:

  • River Street, between 3rd Street and 1st Street
  • Broadway, between 3rd Street and River Street
  • 2nd Street, between State Street and River Street
  • 1st Street, between State Street and River Street

Parking restrictions remain in effect for the following streets:

  • 3rd Street, between Fulton Street and Broadway

Residents and businesses on impacted streets are reminded to observe all posted parking restrictions and traffic detours.

Filming is scheduled to resume Tuesday, June 1st.  Overnight filming will be conducted through Friday, June 4th. Buildings impacted by the schedule have been notified directly.

Downtown businesses, restaurants, and shops located outside the film production area open and accessible. There will be intermittent access to restricted areas during filming. The City of Troy thanks the impacted residents and businesses for their patience, cooperation and assistance during the filming production process.

Parking

The Y-Lot Parking Lot remains closed. Alternate parking arrangements have been established for impacted permit holders. Additional public parking is available for residents and merchants at the Russell Sage Lot, located at 1st and Congress Street. Motorists are asked to reduce speeds and observe all posted traffic detours.

Overnight parking will be available in City-owned lots and garages; visit www.troyny.gov/parking for a map of available lots and garages.
